Creditor’s Statutory Demand

A creditor’s statutory demand is made under s 459E of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth). It enables the creditor to serve a demand on the company:

  • specifying the debt (or the total debts); and
  • requiring the company to pay, or to make arrangements to pay within 21 days.
