Bilateral Superannuation Agreement

A bilateral superannuation agreement arises when an Australian employee is temporarily sent to work overseas. It also arises if an employee is temporarily working in Australia for an overseas employer. This ensures that neither the employer nor the employee is required to make superannuation contributions under the laws of both countries for the same work.
