The Case
Kantor v WISR Finance Pty Ltd (2022)
WISR Finance Pty Ltd (WISR) employed Ms Kantor who, during her employment, made several workplace complaints, including about:
- a WISR employee giving Ms Kantor’s personal mobile number to a third party without her consent;
- WISR not listening to her, her messages not being returned, her not feeling supported and the inefficient handling of her complaints;
- Ms Kantor’s work efforts not being recognised;
- the Chief Operating Officer (COO) saying he wanted to punch Ms Kantor in the face;
- Ms Kantor’s onboarding;
- operational and structural issues within WISR;
- communications between Ms Kantor and other WISR management and staff;
- Ms Kantor’s performance targets; and
- staffing issues.
